Protect every data connection in your system. RS-232 Surge Protectors are perfect add-ons for short-haul modems, concentrators, A/B switches, muxes, repeaters, or other devices that are designed to span long cable runs but are prone to noise and surges.
The SP361A-R2 DB9 Surge Protector is a bi-polar device (protects against positive or negative surges) that guards against induced transient or surge energies caused by the close proximity of AC power lines, nearby lightening strikes and static discharge.
The SP507A is designed to protect RS-232 interfaces utilizing a DB15 connection.
The SP141A is designed to protect from power surges RS-232 interfaces utilizing a DB25 connection. It protects pins 2, 3, 7, and 20 and pin 1 is connected to the shield. It is recommended to use in pairs. The maximum operating voltage is +/- 15V. This is not a PC parallel protector.
The SP360A is designed to protect RS-232 interfaces utilizing a DB25 connection from power surges. It protects all 25 wires. Although this protector is not built to RS-232 specs, it can be used for RS-232. It is recommended to use in pairs. The maximum operating voltage is +/- 15V. Use SP140A for internal applications for true RS-232 specs of +/- 3 to 25V. This is not a PC parallel protector. Operating frequency is 40 Mbps.
The SP515A-R2 is designed to protect RS-232 lines running over UTP cable. It uses an RJ-11 6-wire connection with pins 2, 3, 4 and 5 being protected.
